About Us

Go Away Robot started in August of 2010. The creators of this site got the sudden urge to create an AMV(Anime Music Video) for the upcoming NDK Anime Convention. So we worked on our AMV day and night for an entire week, and we produced our first masterpeice, "Erupting Burning [-Re:evolution-]Mix". In the process we figured out that making AMVs was -- really fun :D. So we decided to take our "Go Away Robot" saying and turn it into a studio name, we have no idea what the name even means ourself, so don't ask. So, here we are, with a website up and everything.

Since then, the site's gone through a huge number of changes. But what is it exactly? It is a blog site, where our writers share a little bit of our otaku life with all you readers. We talk about anime, video games, music, and anything else that we find awesome! Of course, we don't forget our roots either, so we are still also an AMV studio, and continue to make more AMVs on the site. Additionally, we provide press coverage for conventions that we are able to make it to, and take pictures of the incredible cosplay. So, I guess you could call us an all-in-one site about otaku lifestyle, with a little bit of a personal and casual touch compared to the big press sites.
